CEOISM SPARK No. 007 · BUILT UNASKED, GIVEN FREELY
indigo
Colour a whole country

Gloria, we built you a company that colours an entire country, city by city, until the whole map is yours.

You are already documenting Japan, going for the record as the first African woman to reach all 792 cities. Indigo turns that quest into a company: every city you write is a bridge between home and Japan, the map blooms with its colour, backers fund the legs, and the finished collection is the guide nobody else could write.

Why this exists

Travel apps pin where you have been.
Nobody made claiming a whole country a company.

We found you

A Nigerian woman documenting every corner of Japan, teaching Igbo to her Japanese friends and Japan back to Africa, chasing a record nobody has held. A whole bridge, served by no app anywhere.

We built it

Every city you reach is written as a bridge, the home parallel to what you found, then bloomed onto a living map of Japan. An AI translator weaves the two cultures, and the record climbs toward 792.

It's yours, and it earns

Backers fund the journey, tourism boards and brands sponsor prefectures, and the finished gazetteer sells as the guide. We drew it for you, free, and the seat of its CEO is open.

  • The Map. Japan as a cloth that blooms with a different colour per city. Tap a faint city and it colours in, the counter rolls, a prefecture lights up.
  • The City and the Bridge. Each place written as a translation between home and Japan. An AI translator reads every city and weaves the African parallel, the way Gloria does on camera.
  • The Backers. The business: followers read free, backers fund the legs, sponsors light up prefectures, the finished Guide sells. Real people, real money moving.
  • The Record. 792 cities toward a Guinness first, then Indigo opens to every bridge-builder and every country on earth. You could own that.
Why the company is named Indigo

Two civilisations, one colour.

Long before they ever met, Nigeria and Japan were dyeing cloth the same deep blue by hand. The name is the whole thesis: a bridge was always there, in the colour itself.

Kano, Nigeria

The indigo dye pits of Kofar Mata, still worked by hand, the deepest blue in West Africa.

dyeing since the 1490s

Tokushima, Japan

Aizome, the thousand-year craft of Awa indigo, the shade Japan simply calls Japan-blue.

Make no mistake

This is a real company.
And a real one to lead.

A nation colouring in is the hook. The business behind it is what makes it a company worth your name. Money comes in three ways.

Backers fund it

Reading is free. Backers pay a few dollars a month to put their name on the cloth and fund the next city.

Sponsors light prefectures

The engine. Tourism boards and brands sponsor a whole prefecture, paid out of the marketing budget they already run.

The Guide sells

The finished gazetteer, a whole country seen from the outside, sells as the guide no insider could write.

Cofound It

For the bold few

The full road: we build, you lead, and Indigo becomes how every outsider documents a whole country, one nation and one record at a time. We think it can.

We may have coloured the wrong cloth

We study journeys, but we can still guess wrong. Maybe this is not the company you would run. Tell us the one you would, in one message, and we will build that spark instead. Also free, no catch.
