Service 079 of 100

Hire someone to untangle and document your codebase

The Build Studio at CEOism reads your entire codebase, maps it honestly, and leaves it understandable, at a price you name. This is for the repo nobody wants to touch: the one where every change breaks something else and the person who understood it is gone. We trace the real structure, name what is load-bearing and what is dead, refactor where it pays, and write the map down so the knowledge lives in the repo instead of in one head. You say your number; we tell you whether it buys a full untangle or a map plus the worst knots. We run this discipline on our own 47 live apps, because a studio this small survives only if every codebase stays readable.

The 60-second version

Somewhere in your codebase is the reason everything is slow. We find it.

We build it for you: we read the whole thing, map it honestly, and leave it understandable.

Your price, our build. ceoism.com/studio.

What you receive

  • A written map of your codebase: modules, flows, and dependencies
  • Dead code identified and removed with your sign-off
  • The worst tangles refactored, with tests where they matter
  • Documentation that lives in the repo, not in someone's memory
  • A prioritized list of remaining debt, honest about what can wait

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us what you need

One email. Describe the thing in your own words, plain language is perfect, and say the number that feels fair to you.

  2. 2

We build, you watch it become real

We reply honestly with what your number gets, then we build. You see the live thing take shape, not a slide about it.

  3. 3

    You name the price

The price you set is the price. When it ships, it is live on a real domain and it is yours: code, keys, everything.

Honest questions

Will you break things while refactoring?
We change behavior only with your sign-off, and we refactor behind tests where money or data is involved. Untangling means the app works the same but reads clean.
What stack do you work with?
We are strongest in TypeScript, Next.js, Node, and Postgres, and comfortable across most modern web stacks. If your stack is outside our depth, we say so before taking your money.
Do you need production access?
Usually just the repository to start. Read access to staging helps for verifying behavior, and we ask for production access only if the work truly requires it, in writing.

Name your price on this.

Tell us what you need and the number that feels fair. We answer honestly with what that number gets.

Not looking to hire anyone? If you have the knack but never had the means, CEOism will hand you a company instead.

Service 079 · three takes

The films we shoot for this one

These are the scripts we actually film, published openly. Plain text is spoken out loud. Anything in the marked panels is for the camera or the screen behind us and is never read aloud. Three takes of the same service, so we can pick the one that fits where the film is going. The first is open below. Open the other two to read them.

Take one · the empathy cutFilm 079 · 25 to 40 seconds

Nobody knows how it works

Opens inside the worry this service answers, and takes its time. Made for someone who already has this problem in mind, so it fits this page and it fits an audience that already knows us.

Direction · do not readOpen on camera.

Nobody left in the building can explain the whole thing anymore. The person who could has moved on. So every small change is a gamble.

That is not a failure. It is what happens to software that survived long enough to matter.

Your codebase, untangled. We read all of it, map it honestly, and leave you something a new person could understand in a week.

You set the price on that one. ceoism.com/studio.

Take two · the direct cutFilm 079 · 15 to 25 seconds

Every file

Opens on a claim or a visible result, with the offer inside the first ten seconds. Built to be shot with a screen recording playing behind you. Made for the feed and for paid placement, where nobody was looking for us.

Read this script
Screen · do not readScreen: a file tree expanding, then a dependency map drawing itself.

Watch this. Two of us read every file in a codebase and draw the map nobody else has.

Your codebase, untangled. Dead code removed with your sign off, documentation that lives in the repo instead of in someone's memory.

Screen · do not readScreen: cut to a rendered README inside the repository.

Send us read access.

Take three · the standing offerFilm 079 · 15 to 30 seconds

Every file, not the easy ones

Names the service in the first breath instead of hiding it behind a hook, then offers to build it. It puts the barriers on the floor: you name the price, and not knowing how any of it works is our job rather than yours. It also makes the promise most people never get, that we stay with the thing until it is real. Made for someone who has been carrying this idea around for a long time and needs to hear that somebody will actually take it on.

Read this script

Your codebase, untangled. Every file read, the real structure written down where it lives.

That is work we would take on for you, however long it has been left alone.

You set the price, and we tell you honestly what it reaches.

Direction · do not readSmall pause here.

We read all of it. Not only the parts that are pleasant to read.

The repository is yours to send whenever you want us in it.
